Gender Swap: I’m About to Transform Using a Card! Chapter 261

Feeling the warmth surging from his abdomen and spreading through his limbs, the waiter experienced this strange sensation for the very first time. Caught off guard, a flicker of panic crossed his face. He quickly looked at Maka in front of him and asked.

“Sir, I feel a strange warm current flowing through my body. Is this normal?”

Hearing this, Maka smiled and replied.

“Don’t worry, this is a normal part of the process when supernatural power is transforming your body. Once this warmth fades, you will officially become a supernatural being.”

Learning that the warmth flowing through him was a standard part of becoming a supernatural being, the waiter immediately relaxed.

He then focused all his attention on the warmth traveling inside him, curious to see how it would transform him into someone with supernatural powers.

Five minutes passed. As the flowing warmth gradually disappeared from his body, the waiter sensed he had grasped some kind of奇妙 power. He immediately raised his hand and concentrated the supernatural force within him.

The next second, a basketball-sized fireball materialized in his palm.

Staring at the fireball in his hand, the waiter realized he had truly become a supernatural being. His face lit up with excitement.

But remembering Maka was right there, he suppressed the urge to jump around and celebrate. Instead, he dispelled the fireball and turned to Maka, expressing his sincere gratitude.

“Thank you, sir, for granting me supernatural power and transforming me from an ordinary person. I will never forget this immense kindness.”

Maka, having heard similar words countless times over the past few days, showed little change in expression. He then looked at the waiter and said.

“Your gratitude is accepted. Now, go and do what you want to do.”

Hearing this, the waiter’s gaze quickly shifted to the detestable rich man not far away—the same man who had slapped him earlier over a minor issue.

But then he remembered he was in a bar filled with surveillance cameras. If he acted recklessly here, it would surely attract a massive manhunt from the authorities later. Hesitation crept onto his face. He voiced his concerns to Maka.

“Sir, wouldn’t doing what I want here be too conspicuous? The authorities aren’t so weak that they can’t manage an ordinary supernatural being.”

Hearing the waiter’s worry, Maka—who had boldly walked into this upscale bar without fearing the cameras—reached out and patted his shoulder.

“Don’t worry, my friend. With me here, even if you killed every single despicable rich person in this place, the surveillance footage wouldn’t show your true face.”

“Really?”

“The supernatural power I gave you is real. Would I lie to you about this?”

Facing the waiter’s query, Maka posed this rhetorical question.

Finding his words reasonable, the waiter nodded and spoke with a trusting tone.

“You’re right, sir. You wouldn’t deceive me about this.”

“Alright, get moving, my friend.”

“Okay, sir. I’ll go do what I need to do now.”

“Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. While my power can constantly distort your image in others’ eyes and on video, it mainly lets others overlook you temporarily, as long as you’re not causing a massive disturbance. So, after you do what you need to do, remember to leave the bar quickly, out of sight of the cameras. You don’t want the Paranormal Affairs Bureau to get suspicious and catch you.”

“Thank you for the reminder, sir.”

After thanking Maka, the waiter said nothing more and made no further moves.

He quickly walked over, head held high, to a spot not far from the man Maka was helping the dark-haired beauty deal with—the man who had also trampled on his human dignity.

Raising his hand, the waiter aimed at the head of his target, who was busy flirting with a girl beside him. A fireball shot from his palm.

The next second, an explosion mixed with the girl’s scream. The target, now headless with a scorched upper body, slumped peacefully onto the sofa, leaving a world that was slightly brighter for his absence.

“What happened?”

“Where did that explosion come from?”

“Damn it, someone brought explosives in and blew someone up.”

“Are the bar’s security guards blind? Letting such a dangerous person in?”

“We need to get out of here, it’s not safe.”

“Wait, even if we leave, at least let me take this unconscious student girl I just got my hands on.”

As the bar descended into chaos from the waiter’s actions,

a fierce-looking man sitting on the sofa opposite the one where the waiter’s victim now lay—his own face now pale with shock—stared at the figure with the blurry face and indistinct form that had appeared from nowhere. His voice trembled as he asked.

“W-who are you?”

The waiter recognized this man, though the man didn’t know him. He knew this man had secretly committed countless heinous acts. Knowing that Maka’s power to make him overlooked had, as predicted, worn off, the waiter’s expression remained unchanged. He looked at the man and said.

“You’re not worthy of knowing who I am. Die, you scumbag who always does dirty deals with those rich people, pushing innocent girls into the fire.”

With that, the waiter activated his power, conjured another fireball, and hurled it at the terrified man before him.

Before the man could even react, he met the same fate as his former business associate—slumping lifeless onto the sofa.
