Unaware of the shockwaves her single sword strike—which obliterated the Vampire Baron—sent through the surrounding supernatural community, Yan Qi noticed the crystal left behind after the vampire turned to ash. Sensing the supernatural energy emanating from it, she reached out and pulled it into her hand with telekinetic force.

The crystal was blood-red, with mist-like energy swirling inside. Having never seen anything like it before, Yan Qi couldn’t help but feel intensely curious.

“System, do you know what this is?”

“A crystal that holds part of a Deep Abyss Beast’s power? Does that mean if I eat this, I’ll gain the same abilities as that creature?”

Hearing the System’s explanation, Yan Qi’s eyes lit up, and she eagerly pressed for more details.

Anderson stared blankly in the direction she had disappeared.

However, exhausted from the day’s events, she didn’t bother reviewing the data immediately. Instead, the now-white-haired little girl dumped everything onto her computer, changed into pajamas, freshened up in the bathroom, and promptly collapsed into bed, falling asleep almost instantly.

She spent about half an hour scanning through the files before her mother’s voice rang out from downstairs.

Closing the laptop, she hurried down.

“Good morning, Mom! Huh… where’s Dad?”

Noticing her father’s absence at the dining table, Yan Qi tilted her head in confusion.
