a deep-sea monster, resembling a female ghost, suddenly emerged from the woods behind her.

Right after, it opened its maw—large enough to fit several basketballs—and flew toward the girl lying on the ground, intent on devouring her.
But at that critical moment, two beams of light, one gold and one red, suddenly descended from the sky.
Before the gaping monster could even react, it was sliced to pieces by the gold and red lights, vanishing from this world and leaving only its monster core behind.
“Finally made it in time,” Yan Qi thought to herself, seeing the female-ghost-like deep-sea monster vanquished by her and her sister’s combined efforts.
Then, Yan Qi turned to her sister, who had transformed into the Bloodthirsty Empress, and said,
“Alright, the danger is gone. Let’s go down and ask that girl what happened.”

Then, Yan Yu followed Yan Qi to where the college girl and the deep-sea monster had been.

Summoning her courage, she opened her eyes and looked in the direction of the voice, seeing Yan Qi, transformed into the Daoyan Empress, standing not far away.
“Daoyan Empress? What are you doing here?”

Knowing the Bureau was on its way, Yan Qi let the matter rest and instead asked her sister another question.

“This deep-sea monster was probably overlooked during the recent Flesh Bloom incident. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have just happened to appear here.”
