Looking at the two headless male corpses on the sofa, which were giving off a burnt smell, the waiter felt a long-lost sense of relief wash over him. Although he hadn’t worked at this upscale bar for long, he had still learned about many of the dirty deals that took place here. He had even witnessed several crimes with his own eyes. But because of his position and lack of power, he could only bury his head in the sand like an ostrich, pretending he hadn’t seen anything. His conscience had been tormented because of it.
“Is this what it feels like to have great power and be able to punish the evil I witness?”
Looking at his own hands, the waiter couldn’t help but mutter this to himself.
“Who are you? How dare you cause trouble in our bar? Aren’t you… aren’t you afraid of facing consequences from us, or… or from the relevant authorities?”
Just as the waiter was getting a bit caught up in the powerful feeling of his new strength, another trembling voice suddenly came from behind him.
Hearing this, the waiter quickly lowered his hands and turned to face the owner of the voice. It was the head of security, responsible for maintaining order at this upscale bar.
Knowing that the security chief, like himself, was just an ordinary person caught up in circumstances, and that he usually didn’t do anything bad, the waiter said to him.
“I’m not afraid of anyone holding me accountable. Get out of my way. I don’t want to kill you.”
Upon hearing this, the security chief knew full well that he was no match for this supernatural being who had appeared out of nowhere. He had only mustered the courage to come over out of a sense of responsibility to his colleagues and the patrons, hoping to buy them as much escape time as possible. He swallowed hard, but remained standing firm, saying resolutely.
“No, I can’t get out of your way.”
“With a salary of only a few thousand kuai a month, is it worth risking your life like this?”
Not understanding why the security chief, whom he knew, would go to such lengths, the waiter asked him this instinctively.
“A few thousand kuai really isn’t worth risking my life for. But I just can’t stand by and watch you hurt the patrons or my colleagues.”
Hearing the security chief’s answer, the waiter finally understood why he had the courage to stand in front of him. A look of sudden realization crossed his face, and he immediately said to the security chief before him.
“Don’t worry. I have no interest in your colleagues or the innocent patrons. I’m only interested in those pieces of trash whose hands are stained with all kinds of evil, but who repeatedly escape punishment because of their power and influence.”
“Is that true?”
“Do I look like someone who would lie? And besides, do I have any reason to lie to you?”
Hearing the waiter’s words, and knowing he really had no reason to deceive him on this matter, the security chief thought for a moment, then voluntarily stepped aside, clearing the path.
Seeing the security chief move aside, the waiter knew that although years of being beaten down by society had made him resigned to his fate, causing him to stop trying to change the world, deep down he still yearned for fairness and justice. The corners of the waiter’s mouth curled up slightly. He then said to the security chief.
“You made the right choice.”
Having said this, the waiter walked past the security chief and slowly headed towards the crowd of people now surging towards the bar’s exit.
“I hope you really do what you said you would.”
Watching the waiter pass by him, the security chief said this.
Without a moment’s hesitation, the waiter replied.
“Yeah, I’ll definitely do exactly what I said.”
With that, he stopped communicating with the security chief and walked towards his intended targets.
“Damn it, why are you all blocking the way so tightly? Get out of my way!”
“Can’t you wait a moment? Can’t you see I’m a woman?”
“Xiao Fei! Xiao Fei, where did you run off to?”
“Young master, grab my hand!”
“Damn it! I finally got my hands on a top-tier beauty today. Do I have to give her up?”
While the bar’s entrance was in complete chaos because of the waiter’s sudden violent actions after gaining his supernatural powers,
the waiter had already arrived behind the crowd. He raised his voice and shouted at them.
“Who allowed you to leave? All of you, stop right there! Otherwise, I won’t be so polite!”
Hearing the voice from behind, the people jammed at the entrance turned to look. Realizing the voice belonged to the supernatural being who had just killed two people in the bar without a second thought, they panicked even more.
“Get the hell out of my way!”
Kicking aside a woman blocking his path, a short, fat man with a shifty, rat-like face—who definitely didn’t look like a good person—finally broke through the crowd and escaped the bar.
“I finally made it out. I should be safe now.”
Once outside the bar, the man couldn’t help but think this to himself.
But before he could even catch his breath, the waiter, who had noticed him pushing through the crowd and remembered this guy’s involvement in some of the sleazy acts with others in the bar, felt even more disgusted by him. How could he possibly let this man continue living in this world, especially since he had blatantly disobeyed the order he had just given?
So the waiter raised his hand and hurled a large fireball at the man.
“What’s that sound?”
Hearing something cut through the air, the man who had just escaped the bar wondered about it instinctively.
But before he could figure out where the sound was coming from, an explosion rang out. His head vanished from his shoulders, and his headless body crumpled straight to the ground.
“Now. Does anyone else want to disobey my order?”
Lowering his hand, the waiter asked the crowd before him. They had tried to flee moments ago, but now, after witnessing the brutal death of another person, they stood frozen in place, utterly silent.
Staring at the headless body on the ground, after a moment of shock, someone finally snapped out of it. He quickly turned around, forcing a stiff smile onto his face.
“This mysterious supernatural gentleman, surely none of us here would dare to disobey your order now, right? Am I right?”
“Yes, yes, yes. If I don’t dare, then no one else would dare either.”
“That’s right. If even Old Ghost here doesn’t dare, how could we possibly dare?”
“We will absolutely do nothing that goes against your order, supernatural sir.”
