Gender Swap: I’m About to Transform Using a Card! Chapter 7

After processing the system’s information and confirming her current safety, Yan Qi finally relaxed a little.

Without further questions for the system, she turned her attention to the two remaining transformation cards displayed on the panel: “Digital Diva” and “Fox-eared Lolita.”

The first card depicted a vibrant schoolgirl with blue twin tails, stylish headphones, and an adorable outfit brimming with youthful energy. The second showed a cute fox-eared girl with messy golden hair, a modified light-red hanfu, and a large gourd strapped to her back.

Unsure of their specific abilities, Yan Qi considered testing them immediately—but just as she made her decision, a knock interrupted her.

A familiar voice called through the door:
“Xiao Qi, time to wake up! If you sleep any later, we’ll be having lunch instead of breakfast.”

Recognizing her mother’s voice, Yan Qi quickly closed the system interface, bolted upright, and replied:
“Coming, Mom!”

“There’s still some warm water in the bathroom—hurry up,” her mother, Li Caifeng, reminded her before footsteps trailed downstairs.

With a relieved sigh, Yan Qi shed her teddy bear pajamas, suppressing her former male instincts to avoid overthinking. She changed into casual homewear, freshened up in the bathroom, checked her appearance at the vanity, and finally headed downstairs to join her parents.

“Good morning, Dad, Mom,” she greeted the middle-aged couple at the dining table.

“Just as I predicted—our little sleepyhead overslept again,” her father, Yan Zhenyi, teased, lowering his newspaper to glance at his vintage wristwatch.

Yan Qi flushed. “Sorry, I had trouble sleeping last night.”

“No excuses. Come eat before it gets cold,” he waved off, prompting her to take her seat.

Ten Minutes Later

After devouring every bite, Yan Qi leaned back with a contented sigh and patted her stomach.
“Mom, breakfast was amazing today! I’d have seconds if I had room—hic!”

Li Caifeng blinked. “It’s the same as always, though?”

“But it’s extra delicious! Look, my bowl’s empty!” Yan Qi lifted her spotless bowl as proof.

“Maybe our girl’s just extra hungry today,” Yan Zhenyi chuckled.

Li Caifeng narrowed her eyes. “Are you implying my cooking’s usually bad?”

Sensing danger, her husband straightened up. “Darling, I’d never. Your cooking is the best—cross my heart!”

“Really?”

“On my honor!”

Satisfied, Li Caifeng relented. “Fine, I’ll believe you. This time.”

“Thank you! To show my gratitude, I’ll handle the dishes. You go relax.”

Smirking at his enthusiasm, she agreed and left for the living room while Yan Zhenyi scrambled to clear the table.

Alone at the table, Yan Qi smiled softly.
“So this is what having parents feels like… It’s nice.”

As she stood to return upstairs and experiment with her new system, the doorbell rang.

“Xiao Qi, get the door!” Li Caifeng called from the couch.

“Okay!”

She hurried to the entrance and swung the door open—revealing a tall, bookish girl with tousled shoulder-length hair, black-framed glasses, and a tote bag full of supplies.

“Xiao Qi! I’m here for our study session,” the girl beamed.

Recognizing her class monitor and their Friday arrangement, Yan Qi grinned.
“Welcome, Ms. Class President.”
