Gender Swap: I’m About to Transform Using a Card! Chapter 92

After finishing lunch with her mother and watching her head to her room for a nap, Yan Qi didn’t linger in the living room. Instead, she returned to her own bedroom.

Closing the door behind her, she didn’t immediately dive into her usual cultivation routine. Instead, she materialized the transformation card for the fox-girl loli in her hand.

Releasing it, the fox-girl loli—whose body and voice were the closest to Yan Qi’s current form—appeared in her room.

Without exchanging a single word (since they were essentially the same person), the fox-girl, Hu Yao’er, quickly stashed the giant gourd she carried into her system storage.

Free of the cumbersome accessory, Hu Yao’er climbed onto Yan Qi’s bed, pulled up the still-unmade covers, and burrowed herself completely under the blanket, pretending to sleep.

“Perfect. As long as Mom doesn’t lift the blanket, she won’t realize I’ve snuck out.”

Satisfied that her doppelgänger showed no signs of being a fake, Yan Qi’s thoughts returned to her earlier conversation with Bai Yuling.

Feeling like she had to do something, she didn’t hesitate any longer.

In an instant, she transformed into the Digital Diva, activated her skill, and converted herself into pure data, slipping into the internet.

“I might not be planning to kill anyone, but that doesn’t mean I’ll let the boss of Daheng Realty off the hook.”

With that thought in mind, Yan Qi swiftly scoured the internet for every piece of information—public and private—about the unscrupulous businessman.

As she sifted through the man’s dirty laundry, her already low opinion of him plummeted further, replaced by simmering anger.

“I had no idea this guy was this disgusting behind the scenes. He’s even done that kind of thing? I should just send all this evidence straight to the authorities and let them throw him in jail. But… wait, wouldn’t that be letting him off too lightly?”

Muttering to herself, she paused mid-action, hesitating to forward the incriminating files.

Sure, handing over the evidence would ensure the man faced legal consequences—maybe even prison time. But even that felt insufficient for someone so vile.

“But how do I make sure he really suffers?”

She pondered the question seriously.

“Ah! Those photos I found in his cloud storage—several were secret snapshots with his sister-in-law. I could use that as leverage.”

Recalling the compromising images and the flirtatious messages exchanged between the boss and his brother’s wife, Yan Qi’s lips curled into a smirk.

But just as she was about to act, she stopped again.

“No, this isn’t enough. I need something juicier.”

She doubted the scandal would cause more than temporary chaos in his household before fading into obscurity.

So she kept thinking—until inspiration struck.

Her gaze landed on the boss’s two nephews—his older brother’s sons.

“Hah! Perfect.”

With a grin, she swiftly compiled the incriminating photos and related data, then anonymously sent them straight to the boss’s older brother’s phone.

She also embedded a small tracking program in the businessman’s device—one that would monitor his movements and report his location back to her.

A mischievous smile spread across her face, making her look downright villainous.

“Now, time to wait for the fish to bite.”

With the trap set, Yan Qi lost interest in lingering online and prepared to retreat back home through the digital web.

But just then—she froze.

Her doppelgänger, still pretending to sleep, had detected someone entering her room.

“Xiao Qi, are you napping?”

Li Caifeng, holding a freshly delivered package, had knocked and waited before stepping inside. Seeing her daughter bundled up like a cocoon, she tilted her head in confusion.

Hearing her mother’s voice, Yan Qi—controlling Hu Yao’er’s body—felt a flicker of panic.

But with practiced composure, she steadied her expression and feigned grogginess, mimicking her real voice as closely as possible.

“Mmm… yeah, Mom. I was just sleeping.”

Li Caifeng blinked at the sound of her daughter’s slightly off-pitch voice and approached with concern.

“Xiao Qi, your voice sounds a little strange. Do you have a cold?”

“A cold? No, no, I’m fine. My throat’s just dry from sleeping too long.”

Realizing she couldn’t claim illness, Yan Qi quickly improvised.

“Oh, is that it? No wonder you sound different.” Li Caifeng nodded in understanding. “Do you want me to bring you some water?”

“No need, Mom. It’ll go back to normal once my throat’s not dry anymore.”

When Hu Yao’er declined politely, Li Caifeng didn’t press further. Instead, she eyed the blanket burrito curiously.

“Alright, if you say so. But why are you wrapped up like that?”

“It feels safer to sleep this way.”

“Hah, true. I used to love bundling myself up like that as a kid—just leaving a tiny hole to breathe.”

Chuckling, Li Caifeng nodded in nostalgic agreement.
