November. A light drizzle.
Jiangcheng Library.
Mu Xiaofeng, a second-year high school student from Jiangcheng No.1 High School, often studied here to get a head start on university-level material, having already received early admission to Jiangcheng University.
Right now, he was holding a thick volume of Advanced Mathematics (Complete Edition). The occasional glimpse of his small canine teeth and his happy expression could easily make one mistake his reading material for a novel.
Mu Xiaofeng flipped pages rapidly, finishing one page and moving directly to the next without ever looking back.
A female university student sitting beside him blinked, took out a piece of candy, and pushed it towards him: “Little brother, you’re reading so fast, you must have mastered it all, right? Could you explain this differential equation problem to me?”
Mu Xiaofeng didn’t take the candy. Instead, he directly looked at the problem in her exercise book. After thinking for roughly three seconds, he smiled and said, “This problem is quite simple. Let me write it out for you.”
The female student was taken aback. She had intended to tease the kid who seemed to be breezing through advanced math, not expecting him to take her seriously.
When she saw the paper Mu Xiaofeng handed back, filled with his solution, her mind went blank for a second: “Oh… thank you…”
She immediately checked the answer key, found it didn’t match, and breathed a sigh of relief.
Just as I thought, how could a high school student be that amazing?
She took out a lollipop and placed it in front of Mu Xiaofeng, smiling, “Even though the answer is wrong, I still want to thank you.”
Mu Xiaofeng still didn’t accept it. Instead, with full confidence, he stated, “This problem is relatively simple; I couldn’t have made a mistake. The answer key must have a misprint.”
The girl looked at him strangely, thinking to herself, *Why is this kid so confident?*
But seeing how methodical and well-structured his steps were, it did seem convincing. So, she followed his logic and worked through the problem herself. To her surprise, the answer key was indeed wrong.

“Little brother, you’re really amazing!” she praised him sincerely. However, Mu Xiaofeng didn’t respond, his attention captured by a figure in the distance.
Curious, she also looked over, and her eyes lit up.
It was a young woman. A black trench coat hugged her curvaceous figure. Although the brim of her baseball cap obscured her eyes, the mouth, nose, and face that were visible were all exquisitely beautiful.
The woman in the trench coat picked out a book and sat down directly opposite Mu Xiaofeng, beginning to flip through the pages.
*So beautiful!*
The female student felt her heart flutter, but there wasn’t a trace of jealousy in her eyes, only admiration and appreciation.
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Mu Xiaofeng looking down at his book, his face as red as a monkey’s bottom.
She nudged his arm with her pen, her eyes darting towards the woman opposite him as if saying: *If you like her, go for it! Don’t hesitate!*
Mu Xiaofeng’s face turned even redder. In his flustered state, his gaze suddenly fell upon the title of the book the woman was reading: *How to Make a Girl Happy?*
Mu Xiaofeng: “???”
Why was she reading a book like that?
Oh. Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated.
For the next half hour, Mu Xiaofeng didn’t turn a single page, his mind completely elsewhere.
Then, the woman in the trench coat got up and left. When she returned, she was carrying another book: *What to Do When Your Girlfriend is Angry? Brother Hai Teaches You How to Date!*
Mu Xiaofeng: “…”
…
Outside the library, a light drizzle fell, and the river wind carried a slight chill. Inside, however, it was comfortable and perfect for reading.
Su Mo rubbed his sore neck, closed the book *Make Her Fall for You in Three Seconds* he was holding, and stretched. As he did, his eyes met those of the young boy sitting across from him.
He offered a faint smile. The other party immediately lowered his head.
*What a shy, bashful, pure-hearted young boy. Just like me a few years ago.*
Su Mo returned the book and left the library, brimming with confidence.
Under his umbrella, he muttered to himself, “Freshly stocked with intellectual nourishment, I’m incredibly strong now. No matter what moves she throws at me, I’ll handle them all.”
He walked to the villa entrance. It was quiet inside; he didn’t know what Ye Qingyi was up to.
Suddenly, he realized something: he had been “dead” for nine months!
“Would suddenly appearing before her scare her into fainting?” Su Mo felt a twinge of concern.
“It’s fine. She’s in her own body after all, what’s there to be afraid of…”
Su Mo leaped lightly over the wall into the courtyard.
The yard was tidy, clearly well-maintained by her.
He didn’t use the main door, opting instead to enter through a window. But the moment his feet touched the floor inside, a whip-like kick came straight for his face.
*Crap, she found me out!*
Su Mo raised his arm to block the incoming kick and swiftly closed the distance, expecting to grab Ye Qingyi in one move. Unexpectedly, she sidestepped and dodged him.
“Oh, not bad. Your skills have improved quite a bit,” Su Mo chuckled lightly, continuing his pursuit. “But I’m not so bad either.”
“Hmph!” Ye Qingyi’s face showed neither surprise nor fright, just continued evasion.
In the spacious room, the two played a game of cat and mouse, neither gaining the upper hand.
Suddenly, Ye Qingyi stopped. Su Mo, unable to brake in time, bumped into her back. Following the physical rule of ‘small object hits large object, small object rebounds,’ he landed sitting on the floor.
As he looked up, Ye Qingyi happened to turn her head around. Their eyes met.
“Aren’t you going to help me up?” Su Mo lowered his eyelids, looking utterly wronged.
Ye Qingyi found it both amusing and heart-wrenching, but her expression remained cold.
She walked over to Su Mo and crouched in front of him, pinching his delicate chin with a slightly invasive gaze. “The little lamb looks so pitiful, completely at the mercy of the big bad wolf.”
Suddenly, the corners of the wronged little lamb’s mouth lifted slightly. He flipped over swiftly, attempting to pin the big bad wolf down.
But the big bad wolf was no pushover. Not only did she avoid being subdued, but she also took advantage of the little lamb’s moment of instability—both feet off the ground—grabbed him, flipped him over, and pinned him beneath her.
The little lamb, of course, wouldn’t give up without a fight. He mustered his strength, reversed their positions, and ended up on top.
They tussled like this on the floor, rolling over and over, neither willing to yield, until Ye Qingyi suddenly went limp. Seizing the opportunity, Su Mo pressed her down.
He flipped over, straddling her waist, looking down at her from above.
Nearby stood a full-length mirror. Almost simultaneously, they both caught a glimpse of their reflection in it.
This position…
Why does it feel so weird…
Ye Qingyi’s face flushed red as she snapped angrily, “What are you doing?”
She seemed angry.
Su Mo was internally panicking. *Who knows how it… ended up like this, me on top of her.*
He was about to apologize when he suddenly remembered the first sentence from the book *What to Do When Your Girlfriend is Angry? Brother Hai Teaches You How to Date!*—the core guiding principle of the entire book: *When your girlfriend is angry, never think about apologizing, because it will only make her angrier.*
Thinking of this, Su Mo decided to go with the flow. Not only did he not get off, he instead leaned down closer, so close they could hear each other’s heartbeats.
Ye Qingyi immediately panicked, her eyes starting to dart away. Her hands tried to resist, but Su Mo pressed them firmly to the floor on either side.
*Ahhh! What is he trying to do?*
Ye Qingyi’s thoughts were in disarray, and she gradually forgot to struggle.
