Soul Exchange: This School Beauty Isn’t So Cold Chapter 280

Su Mo walked out of the hotel. Sakurai Mii was already waiting outside, accompanied by a gray sedan with a female driver.

Seeing Su Mo approach, Sakurai Mii originally wanted to say “Congratulations on completing the mission,” but when she saw his dazed and listless expression, she immediately shut her mouth.

“Want to grab a bite?” Sakurai Mii probed.

“Not hungry.” Su Mo’s expression was cold, sending a chill down Sakurai Mii’s spine. She felt as if the girl in front of her had completely changed.

After all, this was the first time he had dared to speak to her like this.

However, Sakurai Mii didn’t care about these details. Apart from someone like her who already had a background, anyone who wanted to work under Nishimura would basically have to make some sacrifices and losses.

For someone like Su Mo, who had lived in a foreign country for years, it went without saying that he had to offer a satisfactory pledge of loyalty; otherwise, why would they trust him?

Undoubtedly, Su Mo had passed the test. He was now a qualified member of the Warrior Sect.

Perhaps it was because Su Mo was pretty and likable, or maybe it was because their personalities clicked, Sakurai Mii felt a certain fondness for this poor “girl.” So when she saw him crying, she couldn’t help but want to comfort him.

Just like before, she gently hugged Su Mo.

But this time, they were in the car, so they were sitting down. When she hugged him, Su Mo’s face ended up buried…

Su Mo tried to struggle, but Sakurai Mii held him a little tighter. “Chiba-chan, I may have bullied you before, but that was when we weren’t on the same side yet. From now on, stick with your big sister here, and I’ll look out for you.”

Su Mo didn’t dare to speak, afraid the amylase in his mouth would leak out.

But if he swallowed, he’d feel like a pervert…

Just then, the car entered a deceleration zone, and one speed bump after another jostled the vehicle up and down. Su Mo’s face went up and down with it.

And so, whether by physical or psychological means, two small red snakes slithered out of his nose, soaking Sakurai Mii’s snow-white clothes.

Sakurai Mii was momentarily stunned. Thinking he was crying, she patted his back soothingly.

Afraid of becoming anemic, Su Mo suddenly force broke free, only to find his face covered in red.

Sakurai Mii was taken aback. She looked down blankly and discovered a large red stain on her chest, as if Su Mo had been sucking her blood.

The key thing was, she was wearing white today!

The bloodstain was especially noticeable because of that.

“Ahhhh—” Her face filled with terror, and she started screaming like crazy.

Only then did Su Mo remember that she had mentioned having a cleanliness obsession. He had thought it was a joke, but it turned out to be true.

“Sorry.” Su Mo looked like a little girl who had done something wrong.

Sakurai Mii gritted her teeth. “We’re both girls, why is your nose bleeding?”

Su Mo blinked his innocent, big Karslan eyes. “You’ll have to ask my nose that. I didn’t want it to happen either…”

Sakurai Mii was so angry her teeth itched. She grabbed Su Mo and vigorously rubbed his chest with her own stained clothes. “See? I’m not bleeding!”

Su Mo was stunned by her rough behavior. He crossed his arms over his chest and retreated into a corner. “Pervert!”

Sakurai Mii rolled her eyes at him and said to the driver, “Head home. I need to change clothes.”

The driver stifled a laugh, acknowledged the order, and stepped on the gas.

The decor in Sakurai Mii’s home was understated and restrained. It was clearly the residence of a well-to-do family, but it wasn’t as luxurious as Nishimura Koishi’s place, making it feel much more comfortable.

“You go wash your face first. You look like a vampire. I’m going to take a shower soon anyway,” Sakurai Mii said to Su Mo while taking off her clothes.

Su Mo immediately fled to the bathroom, thinking to himself: You really don’t treat me like an outsider, stripping right in front of me like that!

When he came out, Sakurai Mii was just about to go in. To avoid embarrassment, he covered his eyes.

As for why he used his hand to cover them instead of simply closing his eyes, any guy knows it’s to peek through the cracks…

If he accidentally saw something, well, he could only blame the light for traveling in straight lines…

He had just sat down on the sofa when Chiba Keiko called.

Su Mo hung up and replied with a message: “Keiko-san, it’s not convenient for me right now. I’ll get back to you in a bit.”

There was a slight pause on the other end before she replied, “Mm.”

No need to think too hard; she was definitely going to ask about what happened last night. As Uesugi Bunka’s disciple, it made sense she’d find out so quickly.

After Sakurai Mii changed, she took Su Mo to the Warrior Sect, where they measured his body size and registered his information.

“Alright, from now on, you’re a Star-class warrior. Your ID badge will be issued together with your uniform once it’s ready. First, let me take you to choose your equipment.”

On the way to the armory, Su Mo pushed aside his gloomy mood and asked, “What kind of status does a Star-class warrior have in the sect?”

Sakurai Mii smiled and explained, “One leader, two vice leaders, four Red Sun-class warriors, thirty-six White Moon-class warriors, one hundred and eight Star-class warriors, and tens of thousands of ordinary warriors. Although Star-class is the fifth rank, it’s still part of the top one percent of the leadership.”

“So that’s not bad at all.”

“Of course. After all, there are only seven people total including the leader, vice leaders, and Red Sun-class warriors. I’m only White Moon-class myself. For you to join and immediately become Star-class is already pretty impressive.”

Su Mo silently resolved that even if he was going undercover, he would aim for a high status. That way, he could not only siphon resources but also cause greater disruption.

After all, as someone once said, an undercover agent who doesn’t want to be the boss isn’t a good undercover agent.

They soon arrived at the armory.

A White Moon-class warrior was just ahead of them, needing to enter. He presented three different documents, each verified one by one before he was allowed in.

When it was their turn, the treatment was immediately different.

Not only did the guards initiative salute Sakurai Mii, but documents and such were nonexistent. They only needed to confirm Sakurai Mii’s identity.

Su Mo marveled, “You’re both White Moon-class, yet the gap is so huge.”

“I’m different from them.” Sakurai Mii said proudly, “The reason I’m White Moon-class is because the Red Sun-class quota are limited. For them, it’s because White Moon is the highest they can reach.”

Su Mo glanced at her face; she looked terribly pleased with herself.

“So that means you’re a bit of a standout among White Moon-class warriors?”

Sakurai Mii’s expression suddenly turned serious. “I’m not the only standout.”

Su Mo’s eyes narrowed. “Which other White Moon-class can compare to you?”

Reluctantly, Sakurai Mii said, “His name is Kusa no Ue Kurenai. He’s actually a tiny bit stronger than me.”

As she spoke, she pinched her thumb and pinky together, showing just a tiny tip to indicate he wasn’t that much stronger. “If it weren’t for my connection with my senior brother, he’d probably be White Moon Number One.”

As soon as she finished speaking, a burst of hearty laughter came from behind. “Hahaha, I never thought you’d actually admit you’re weaker than me. That’s rare.”

Su Mo turned his head. A ridiculously handsome young man was walking towards them, flashing a big, white-toothed grin.

Seeing Su Mo looking at him, he winked. “Hello, beautiful! I’m Kusa no Ue Kurenai. If you think I’m handsome, feel free to call me Kusa-nii.”
