Within a residential building in a mid-range neighborhood called Cloud City.
Lilith, disguised as Xue Ji, arrived home with Xue Ji’s parents. The family sat down on the soft sofa, and an interrogation that felt like imprisonment to Lilith began.
Luckily, there were snacks laid out on the coffee table, so she could munch on them while dealing with the two parents’ questioning.
However, because she kept answering the two parents’ questions with “Mm-hmm, got it,” the situation became more complicated.
“What kind of potion did that person give you that you just can’t let her go?”
Potion? What potion? Lilith searched her memories and barely managed to find a name.
“Isatis root.”
After saying this, she let out a long sigh of relief, as if feeling proud of her own cleverness.
From Xue Ji’s mother’s eyes, she sensed a strong look of appreciation. It seemed her answer was flawless. Thinking this, she proudly put her hands on her hips and nodded repeatedly.
“Her father, are we being too harsh? Have we given our child psychological issues?” Xue Ji’s mother looked at her seemingly simple-minded daughter, unable to hide her worry.
“Yeah, maybe the shock earlier was too great. Let’s comfort her first, and tomorrow we’ll take her to the hospital for a check-up.” Xue Ji’s father looked helpless, covering his face with both hands and rubbing it. “At least the kid’s appetite is good.”
In half an hour, Lilith had devoured two large bags of potato chips and a small bowl of chocolate. Xue Ji’s mother initially wanted to stop her from eating so many snacks, but thinking of the scene earlier, she couldn’t bear to upset the child again.
But Lilith’s thoughts were simpler. She had finally managed to get out and play, only to be entrusted with this important task of pretending to be Xue Ji in front of her parents.
No matter how she thought about it, it seemed unlikely to succeed. So she chose to just be herself, and if she got caught, Xue Ji could explain it herself.
Xue Ji’s parents busied themselves in the kitchen for an hour, preparing four dishes and one soup.
Stir-fried shrimp, sweet and sour spare ribs, steamed egg custard, stir-fried small pumpkin, and a simple green vegetable soup.
The things Lilith had “eaten” before were just from experiencing Xue Ji’s memories; this was her first time actually tasting these things in reality.
“Xiao Ji, quick, try it while it’s hot.” Xue Ji’s mother saw “Xue Ji’s” eyes light up and was overjoyed.
“Okay.” Lilith directly picked up her chopsticks and quickly took a sample of all the dishes.
The savory freshness of the shrimp, the sweet and sour taste of the spare ribs, so vividly filled her mouth that she couldn’t help but revel in it.
Delicious! So delicious!” Lilith exclaimed, her cheeks puffed out with food.
“If it’s tasty, eat more.” Xue Ji’s mother watched her child eat with a look of pure delight, barely touching her own chopsticks.
Xue Ji’s father sat in his seat, also smiling at the scene.
Lilith thought to herself, is this what it feels like to be human, to be alive? It’s amazing!
She was inhabiting a puppet made by Xue Ji, a puppet completely under her control, allowing her to experience unparalleled freedom.
The first-hand sensory experience was so much more vivid than when Xue Ji transmitted it to her.
Taking another bite of the smooth and tender steamed egg custard, Lilith decided this was her favorite dish – silky, savory, and fragrant, with an endless aftertaste.
She ate so carelessly that she accidentally dropped a bit of the egg custard onto her white T-shirt.
“Xiao Ji, honestly, you’re such a child.” Xue Ji’s mother quickly grabbed a tissue and helped Lilith clean it up.
As Xue Ji’s mother tended to her, Lilith suddenly felt an indescribable urge, a familiar but deeper warmth that almost made her cry.
She envied Xue Ji a little. She envied that so many people liked her, so many people loved her.
‘What am I thinking? This all belongs to Xue Ji. I’m just experiencing it for her.’
After dinner and a shower, Lilith lay on the soft bed, greedily stretching out her limbs, just to feel more of what it was like to be alive.
Just then, an intense desire surged from the depths of her soul.
“Huh? What is that trashy Sage doing?!”
Why was this feeling so strong? So… so hot.
Lilith tossed and turned on the bed, but the waves of heat being transmitted to her spread throughout her body, completely impossible to dissipate.
“No, seriously, why do I have to share something like this too? They aren’t doing something weird over there, are they?” Lilith’s eyes grew hazy, and the overwhelming urge she couldn’t relieve nearly shattered her sanity.
“It’s so… so uncomfortable, I feel like I need to… release this.” Lilith instinctively began to touch her own body, letting out soft whimpers.
‘Trashy immortal, save me~’ Unable to bear it any longer, Lilith urgently called out to the young girl in the ruqun for help.
Within the space of consciousness, the young girl in the ruqun was caught in a dilemma. Over on Xue Ji’s side, sparks were flying, while Lilith’s shared sensation made this side a scene not fit for polite eyes.
Even with her eyes closed, the gasps and images from both sides would directly appear in her mind: on one side, pitiful cries for help; on the other, unrestrained indulgence. There was nothing more torturous than this.
Seeing Lilith in such distress, she forced herself to focus, cutting off the artistically valuable scenes in her mind, and began to guide Lilith through some… indescribable actions.
“Use my hand? I don’t know how! Sister Trashy Immortal, help me.”
The little one, completely ignorant, having such intense desires awakened in her – the impact of this scene was no less than the other side.
“Ah, this… I, well, but…” The young girl in the ruqun’s voice became flustered. She felt this was truly indecent and against all propriety.
Lilith, anxious, started crying and complained, “Sister, aren’t you supposed to be the one who loves breaking all the rules? Hurry up!”
“Idiot, don’t shout so loud. I… I’ll help you, alright.”
“I’ll guide you through it once. Watch carefully.”
The young girl in the ruqun temporarily took control of Lilith’s right hand and demonstrated once for her.
Twenty minutes later, Lilith began to operate on her own.
The pleasure was mutual, and Lilith nearly fainted, while Xue Ji seemed tireless, going full force on her end.
“So this is the gap between a genius and an ordinary person? I’ve certainly witnessed it now.”
That night, it wasn’t until both sides finally quieted down that the young girl in the ruqun could find some peace.
But when they both stopped, she herself couldn’t calm down.
“What kind of situation is this? Why am I also… mmh~”
Just as she was the only one left awake, a distant voice reached her.
“My dear Sage, that’s it, go and seize your destiny. I will wait for you… at the place where destinies converge…”
The voice seemed startled by the chaotic and hazy scene it had witnessed, cutting off abruptly.
On a small island surrounded by a tide of darkness in some dimension, a goddess in a flowing white dress was rolling on the ground, desperately trying to forget the images she had just seen.
