As Lilith fell asleep, her charm magic dissolved. The Wolf King regained clarity—and with it, the humiliating memories of being enslaved. Fury ignited in his chest as he recalled obeying like a docile pet. Every fiber of his being screamed to tear this wretched creature apart.
With a violent shake, he flung Xue Ji’s unconscious body to the ground.
Inside her mind, Xue Ji was panicking.
‘Damn brat! You cause chaos then nap?! What about MY LIFE?!’
The Wolf King’s maw loomed closer, saliva dripping. Terrified, Xue Ji’s spirit form slapped her own physical face repeatedly, desperate to wake herself up—to no avail.
Just as she prepared to unleash desperate measures, the silent Monarch Stag stepped forward with earth-shaking steps, blocking the Wolf King’s path.
“Seeking death? I’ll gladly send you to your grave!” The Wolf King bared his fangs, undaunted by the stag’s mountainous size.
“As a clan leader, would you truly strike a defenseless foe?” The stag’s voice remained calm, unfazed by the threat.
“Defenseless? Hah! Where were you when I was her plaything? This is between us—stay out of it!” The Wolf King’s vengeance would tolerate no interference.
The stag sighed. Antlers glowing emerald, he summoned the forest itself—branches twisting like living arms to shield Xue Ji.
“Can’t you see? Darkness has taken root here!” No longer indulging the Wolf King’s rage, the stag unleashed his aura, pinning the beast in place through sheer presence. His voice boomed like the forest’s wrath:
“The realm has reopened to the outside world. You failed to control your pack, allowing dark minions to infiltrate. Now you ignore the greater peril, attempting to murder the Prophesied One? Persist, and I will bury you where you stand!” Lightning crackled in the stag’s eyes, his body radiating an ethereal glow.
Xue Ji blinked in confusion. Prophesied One? Dark minions? Though bewildered, her instincts tingled—this was clearly a hidden questline unfolding.
…..
While the drama played out, Xue Ji’s “top-priority nuisance” suddenly popped back into their shared mindscape—directly into the shadowy prison cage.
Seeing the troublemaker responsible for today’s disasters, Xue Ji’s spirit form twitched with rage. Less than a day old, and you’ve already caused this much chaos?! Someone had to pay for these messes—preferably the culprit.
Before Lilith could react, Xue Ji yanked her over a knee.
“Eek! What are you—OW!“
“What am I doing? You just gained consciousness and already tried a takeover! ‘Demon King,’ huh? Let’s see how loud the ‘Demon King’ cries!”
SPANK! SPANK! SPANK!
True to her word, Xue Ji spanked the defiance straight out of Lilith.
Tears and snot streamed down Lilith’s face as she kicked weakly, her resistance crumbling into pitiful whimpers.
“Had enough? Will you behave?!” Xue Ji chided like a scolding parent.
But Lilith—the embodied will of the “Demon King” ability—wasn’t about to surrender easily.
Wiping her face with trembling hands, she glared up and hissed: “N-next time… I’ll do worse! P-pathetic master can’t even hit hard!”
Though her words were bold, the earlier arrogance had vanished. Notably, she’d instinctively called Xue Ji “master” in her panic.
The mindscape darkened abruptly, shadows swirling like storm clouds—a manifestation of its true ruler’s wrath.
Lilith gulped, realizing she’d miscalculated.
“Good. Let’s test the ‘Demon King’s’ endurance!”
Xue Ji’s spirit form expanded, tucking Lilith under her arm like a misbehaving kitten before delivering a rapid-fire spanking session worthy of a drum solo.
THWACKTHWACKTHWACK!
“GYAAAH—OWOWOW! STOP! I’M SORRY! WAAAAH!“
Lilith’s cries dwindled from indignant to broken, her expression going disturbingly blank.
Yet the oppressive atmosphere remained. Genuine fear now gripped Lilith—what if her master erased her after just one day of existence?
“Sniff… M-master! I really messed up!” This apology carried actual remorse.
Xue Ji paused mid-spank, suddenly noticing Lilith’s spirit flickering unnaturally. Wait—can consciousnesses actually… break?!
Mortified, she gently set Lilith down. “Uh… sorry?”
The moment Xue Ji released her, Lilith’s legs gave out. She collapsed into a shaky “seiza” sit, eyes hollow as a discarded doll.
When Xue Ji reached out to comfort her, Lilith flinched violently—proof of thoroughly traumatized instincts.
Okay… damage control time.
With a thought, Xue Ji transformed the blank mindscape into a steamy bathroom. Lilith blinked up in confusion as warm water cascaded from a suddenly materialized showerhead.
“W-wow… so nice…” Lilith murmured, mesmerized by the sensation. The childlike wonder in her eyes made Xue Ji’s heart twinge—especially since the brat wore her face.
As Xue Ji massaged shampoo into Lilith’s hair, the girl gasped at the suds piling in her palms like fluffy clouds.
Somehow, their positions had shifted—Lilith now leaned back against Xue Ji’s chest, refusing to let any distance form. (A consequence of Xue Ji manifesting as a buxom “onee-san” in this space—Lilith clearly enjoyed the pillow-soft support.)
“Master’s… the best… hehe…” Lilith mumbled sleepily, nuzzling closer.
Xue Ji sighed but didn’t pull away, wrapping her arms around the troublesome bundle. “Yeah, yeah. Brat.”
