Familiar yet strange, those pale red eyes caused the image of Xueji in Ling Xiaoxiao’s vision to gradually overlap with that figure from a thousand years ago.
Only now did Ling Xiaoxiao understand—she was in serious trouble.
Somehow, Xueji found the strength to pin Ling Xiaoxiao down on the bed, leaving her unable to move. Or perhaps, Ling Xiaoxiao simply had no will to resist.
Snow-white hair cascaded down, teasing Ling Xiaoxiao’s cheeks recklessly. Seeing Xueji like this no longer drove her to the same madness as it once had.
Though a millennium of life had caused her emotions to accumulate in an extreme way, those thousand years of worldly experience had also corrected some of her distorted views.
This was why she had tried to exercise restraint before, even if she ultimately failed.
‘Speaking of which, Master,’ Ling Xiaoxiao thought, gazing at Xueji, her mind a whirlwind, ‘did you ever consider, when I became like this, what would become of your reincarnated self?’
If I truly couldn’t hold back and killed her, what would you think, Master?
“Why are you so shameless?” Ling Xiaoxiao demanded of the phantom before her. “Why did you have to reincarnate into someone so gentle, so pitably lovable!”
“Why could you escape that corruption, while I had to waste away for a thousand years?”
As she spoke, Ling Xiaoxiao’s tears began to flow uncontrollably. Who could understand her grievances? How dare you decide all this on your own?
Xueji didn’t respond. Instead, a kiss, driven purely by desire and devoid of any emotion, forcefully sealed Ling Xiaoxiao’s lips.
“Mmph…” Perhaps Ling Xiaoxiao was beginning to understand how Xueji must have felt back then. She was like a toy, being treated roughly, without a shred of anything that could be called love.
In her eyes, Xueji still appeared in ancient attire. Without even realizing it, facing this Xueji, she clenched her teeth tightly, as if guarding something precious.
Ling Xiaoxiao let the longed-for warmth and softness continue its assault on the outside, her heart as calm as still water.
‘Master, she is not like you.’
So Xueji shifted her attack elsewhere. Whether it was the two soft mounds or her sensitive waist, Xueji’s hands teased and explored.
Almost every inch of her skin was caressed and toyed with by those hands.
But when Xueji’s hand moved towards the one remaining untouched place, Ling Xiaoxiao could endure no more.
Suddenly, Ling Xiaoxiao pressed her forehead against Xueji’s and shouted, “You’re not her! You are NOT her!”
With that, she shoved Xueji onto the bed, wrapping her tightly in the comforter into a bundled roll.
Seeing that Xueji seemed unable to move now, Ling Xiaoxiao finally felt relieved. Her phone buzzed with new messages—Xia Jin had sent several, pleading with her to stop.
The last one was almost begging.
Jinli: “Please, Senior! Be gentler! You’re really going to break Xueji! (crying)*10”
Just as Ling Xiaoxiao picked up her phone to reply, Xueji, somehow, locked an arm around her neck from behind and bit down hard on her shoulder.
The sharp pain reminded Ling Xiaoxiao of the most unbearable scene in her memory: her maddened Master frantically biting her.
Ling Xiaoxiao’s breathing grew rapid, and her phone fell from her hand. To avoid sinking back into that madness, she squeezed her eyes shut, forcing herself to calm down.
She shook her head repeatedly, ignoring Xueji’s actions, struggling to recall all the experiences she had shared with this lifetime’s Xueji.
‘It seems I always make her cry…’
‘No, there must be some good memories worth holding onto.’ But what surfaced in her mind was an image of Xueji, being choked nearly into unconsciousness.
“Pfft—ugh!” The memory destabilized Ling Xiaoxiao’s focus, and she spat out a mouthful of blood.
“Xiao Ji, I’m sorry… I should just disappear from your life.”
She felt defeated both inside and out. Why were her memories filled only with scenes of her bullying Xueji?
‘Forget it. I guess I deserve this. I’m sorry, Xiao Ji.’ She gave up resisting, her previously struggling hands slowly falling limp.
“Senior, don’t give up!!!” Xia Jin’s voice suddenly erupted from the phone.
Somehow, by mistake, a video call had been connected to Xia Jin.
“Since when have you been watching?!” Ling Xiaoxiao’s shame jolted her back to her senses. At the very least, she couldn’t be played with like this in front of her junior!
On the screen, Xia Jin had a nosebleed. “Ever since you dropped your phone… I’ve been watching the whole thing.”
In her struggle, Ling Xiaoxiao briefly met Xueji’s gaze.
Looking into those enchanting eyes, Ling Xiaoxiao’s consciousness began to blur.
To her great misfortune, Xueji in this state not only could use magic, but the effect of her Alluring Eyes seemed far stronger than normal.
“Senior! Senior…!”
“No! No! I won’t lose to desire again! I won’t make that mistake another time!” Ling Xiaoxiao shook her head violently and, with a deft move, pinned the strangely-behaving Xueji down.
“Shaya! Stop eating and get up here! I need help!” Ling Xiaoxiao didn’t dare rely on her own willpower anymore. Calling for backup was better than fully trusting herself.
Down in the living room, Shaya, annoyed by the interruption, called back impatiently, “What are you doing now?”
Seeing Shaya’s indifferent attitude infuriated Ling Xiaoxiao. She yelled, “I’m about to get ravaged by Xueji! If you don’t care, then I’ll just give up and stop resisting!”
Shaya was first stunned, then horrified. “You scoundrel! Xueji is practically helpless right now! How dare you lay a hand on her!”
“I’ll fight you!”
Shaya wolfed-out her limbs and, in three great bounds, leaped from the living room directly to the doorway of Xueji’s room.
She kicked the door right off its hinges, her petite body radiating unrestrained killing intent.
“Let go of Xueji, you vile old monster!”
But when her eyes focused, she saw an unbelievable scene.
Xueji was pinning Ling Xiaoxiao down? I must have eaten too much barbecue. My brain’s fried.
Shaya opted to exit and enter again, but the door was already destroyed, and the scene inside hadn’t changed.
Seeing Shaya hesitating as if to leave, Ling Xiaoxiao desperately reached out a hand. “It’s true! Hurry up and save me!”
She had let her guard down while calling for Shaya, allowing Xueji to use a shadow spell to shift their positions. Now, Ling Xiaoxiao was pinned face-down on the bed from behind.
When she lifted her head, she saw a despairing sight: Shaya’s eyes were vacant, and she was walking towards the bed like a marionette, slow and deliberate.
Clearly, Shaya had already fallen under the spell too…
“Useless! Absolutely useless! Shaya, what are you good for besides eating barbecue? You can’t even… Mmph!” Halfway through her complaint, a delicate jade-like hand covered Ling Xiaoxiao’s mouth.
‘This is bad,’ Ling Xiaoxiao thought with dread.
Still on the video call, Xia Jin watched with wide eyes and gasped, ‘Student Xueji… truly terrifying!’
